The Extension SNM-EuroVAT allows you to automatic review of the VAT identification number.The review takes place when changing the "Tax / VAT number" field within Magento. It does not matter whether this field is modified by the customer or of you in the admin area.
A successful review of the ID, via the web service of the European Commission (http://ec.europa.eu/), assigned the customer to desired customer group.
Customers from the same country as the shop owner with valid identification can any other group of customers are assigned.
the extension is not compatible with the OneStepCheckout.
